I woke up OBESE
Before I knew it, I was 40 and obese! It feels strange but I've just been diagnosed with Obesity. I'm laughing a bit as I type this but, yeah, it's official; I'm fat! I've been struggling with poor physical health for a bit and quite frankly I knew my weight had a fair bit to do with it. I've reached that stage where climbing the stairs leaves me a bit breathless and I've secretly gone up like 3 clothes sizes. (Mum, no medium Boxer Shorts this Christmas; I'm an XL!). In fact, I will just message her now and let her know.
Done.
I'm going to begin posting regular updates on my physical health. Tomorrow it's weigh-in day.
How can you help?

Panic attack on train talk down (Public Transport)
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.2 года назад
Some of my first experience of panic attacks happened on the crowded train to College when I was 16, early in the morning. I didn't really know what it was, I just knew I felt like I needed to get off the train ASAP. My palms would sweat and stomach would churn and I would convince myself I needed the toilet and I was going to embarrass myself in front of the other passengers. I'd be convinced ...

Sertraline 100mg over 4 years - I'm day 9 cold turkey. I had brain zaps on day 3 and I'm experiencing severe dizzy spells day 9. Last night I slept for 17 hours I'd worked nightshift in between times. And today I've felt like jelly I've had the insomnia as well. Tell yourself feeling is healing. Get out of your bed. Go outside. do anything but lie in your bed. Stick on the football Euro 2024.

Having been on zoloft 100mg for last 15+yrs and having come off it by myself (only accidently to start with) i never realises how many subtle side effects I had for Years-only to be put on more medications to combat the side effects😂. I have been reading alot into it recently and surprisingly found out they're only meant to be used short term eg 6-12months!!! The root cause of the problem if often not addressed either. They just make me feel emotionally numb.. I was horrified to find (accidently when I couldn't fill script) after 2 days no more bluey vision (my optometrist confirmed ssris makes eyes dry hence my blurry vision). My periodic vertigo subsided and had trouble falling asleep (last 1-2yrs-was prescribed more meds 4 this😂), weight gain, generally feeling half zombie like I didn't really have emotional lows but neither highs, lastly absolutely No sex drive.. the worst thing was my GP not once gave me any info on these possible side effects, not once after 15yr on them she just kept filling the script. I was and still am so shocked that all these symptoms which I never knew were from taking zoloft100 were from the meds!! I am now trying to heal and improve my mental health naturally by diet, exercise, meditation etc.. the insomnia was prob the most annoying symptom for me oh and the poor memory!!!!

i am 20 and have struggled with anxiety for around 3 years now. i have really bad waves where the anxiety is in control of me instead of i am in control of it. it is really hard and i have taken other measures before resorting to anti anxiety/depressants. i started sertraline 6 days ago, my main side effects are nausea, vomiting, shaking and trembling and waking up anxious which usually wears off around midday/afternoon time. when anxious i struggle with feeling sick and not wanting to eat so this was really hard when the first day i took sertraline i experienced nausea straight away. this video helped me with the side effects and to stick with the medication thank you!

This was on the lowest dose too so, I encourage everyone to seek other ways of dealing with their depression and anxiety.

Hi, thank you for this video I have been on sertraline for the past 8 months, and i have gained 22 pounds. the cravings are unbearable, but i FEEL SO MUCH BETTER I suffered from ED for years and it feels like sertraline just helped me stop my ED thoughts. I am 6ft 2, was 158 lbs when I first started medication and now I weight 180 lbs and I am kind of scared to go higher since I now have love handles and big thighs that I did not have before. I don't think I want to stop sertraline because of the positive aspects of it, but the weight gain is clearly something that worries me . I do exercise a lot and try to eat as healty as possible, but problem is I do have the carbs craving that i did not have and the '' I don't care , it makes me happy '' vibe all the time. It's crazy how this medication supress some thoughts that used to restrain me from eating ! It's like I know I don't want to gain weight but still will eat 8 pancakes with sirop. UGHHH

Quit Zoloft cold turkey 150mg daily (nearly a decade user) about a month ago. First week feels like the flu and a cold combined. Second week felt like a trip. 3rd week felt like depression. 4th week had so much life stuff going on I could only really feel it at night. Anxiety is coming back certainly, but the med I was on was quite literally killing me (genetic predisposition to side effects). Constant muscle tightness is the one lingering symptom I have but also was caused initially by the Zoloft

I got my prescription and I haven’t taken it, I’ve developed alcohol dependency issues and smoke weed a lot but way way less than past years. I’d say I’d choose a drink over a smoke just cause in my mind somehow….its easier? So I drank 2 Trulys went for a 3rd and felt like dude ima throw up let’s just stop and go to bed. Woke up today, no Zoloft and went for a walk around the lake from 8am-2:40pm baking in the sun. Drank water all day, ate a salad. Took pictures of baby ducks and honestly I thought about it the entire day and realistically I don’t agree with taking a pill to fix my problems. Weed an alcohol is one thing and I’m not making excuses but in my soul, I feel this is the wrong decision. My body spits out toxins like no other, I’ve taken pills before prescribed and then the other kind. I think I’m going to just man up and handle my shit. Accept things for what they are and my anxiety really only comes when I gotta handle business. Like maybe that’s not healthy cause yeah I’ll be stressed but it’s like a low low level and that’s due to just life being life. To me it just sounds like I’m numbing myself just to exist in life. And that’s not why I smoke or drink, I do that to relax from a long day. Lmk if I’m trippin

I wouldn’t argue that people can “fix” a lot of the physical side effects of MH issues. Coupled with therapy for solving trauma etc. I am 100% confident alcohol will only make things worse and I tend to encourage people to go sober whilst working on themselves otherwise you are fighting a battle but for both sides simultaneously
